Aaron D. Gifford Yup, that's me! By now you are probably wondering how insanely large my ego must be to have a web site completely devoted to myself. No need to wonder. Isn't it obvious? *chuckle* But seriously, I thought it would prove fun, and it has, so far. If you don't have one of your own, you should try it! Let me introduce myself. My name is Aaron D. Gifford. (You got that already!) I've had my own web page in some form or another since 1993. Not many people can say that, can they? Unfortunately, most of my personal web sites were poorly designed, a tangled, confused jumble of pages and information. The remnants of past poor designs still lurk here and there. I expect this site and design will continue to evolve (and hopefully improve) over time. Stay a moment and explore around a bit. If you're a computer geek, you might find my FreeBSD IPFW patches, my open-source HMAC-SHA1 or SHA-1/256/384/512 implementations in my Crypto Hashing section, or perhaps CHRSH (that's a chroot jail wrapper for Unix shells) of interest. Non-geeks might be more interested in my Picks section where I share music, movies, and books that I like with the rest of the world. Or check out my DVD Library where my entire DVD collection is inventoried. Since I discovered G.P.S. stash hunting (Geocaching) in 2001, I've really enjoy hiking and exploring the often interesting and beautiful places it's taken me. Check out my Astounding Adventures or my Geocaching sections. Since June of 2003, I've periodically posted to Yakkity Yak, my own personal web log ('blog). It's been fun, even if I don't post often enough. Topics include my passion for good music, interesting tidbits I've found on the web, to almost anything that comes into my head. Back in October of 2002 I bought my first real digital camera. Once in a rare while, my snapshot-craziness yields something of beauty. Check out my Wallpapers collection that includes a few of my more interesting and serendipitous shots. (Some are more interesting than others, I'm the first to admit.) The picture in the upper-right-hand corner of this page is a random sample. I hope you enjoy your visit! Aaron out. | |
