Here is one of my web log entries, perhaps from my Yakkity Yak page, What's New page, or one of my Astounding Adventures from my Geocaching section: Meeting Fellow Cachers At the Dusty Trails (or maybe not) Event Cache

Event Cache Visited: Dusty Trails (or maybe not) by GrizzlyRider and Drifty
Saturday, 6 April 2002 - 9:45 AM MST (-0700) My brother and I couldn't resist the chance to stop by at the event cache meeting place on this beautiful April morning and meet some of the faces behind the cache hunter handles we've seen here at www.geocaching.com, even though we didn't participate in the rest of the day's activities. What a blast! Now I have a face to go with such handles as Drifty, GrizzlyRider, Cach-U-Nuts, tslack2000, and Team Liahona, some of you legends among Utah geocachers. (Okay, now who did I leave out? I have an awful memory for names...) I enjoyed shaking hands and chatting, swapping stories, and watching that jeep try to climb the nearby hill unsuccessfully. Reading the veritable cornucopia of subsequent cache log entries due to the activities of this event kept it fresh in my mind all week. It was a delight to enjoy the rest of the event cache vicariously through your online logs. It sounds like everyone had a great time. After chewing the fat, we (my brother and I) parted company with the event cache crew and went our own way to find a few caches a bit to the north of the event cache itinerary. As things turned out, we only found one. We would have found the second one we searched for had we only had a full print-out of the cache description with us (we had a partial print-out due to my buggy web browser not printing things correctly). Thanks, GrizzlyRider and Drifty! -Astounding St. George, Utah | |
